Men’s 2019 Season Pennant Wrap

Posted on

In the finals conducted at Eden winners were:

Div 1:             Tura defeated Mollymook 3/2

Div 2:              Bega defeated Bermagui 3/1

Seniors:          Bega defeated Catalina 3&half to a half

Bega won the John Gardner Shield.

Today, representative teams for Div 1, Div 2 and Seniors gave no quarter in their bid to win the prestigious PENNANCE TROPHY, the symbol of Pennant excellence, donated by Allen Keys.

Winner:  Division One. (Just)

As a starting point to strengthen the Pennant culture at our Club, two new trophies were donated.

Pennant Player Of The Year: Ben Bell.

Caddy Of The Year:  Gerry Grant

Winning the Pennant Player of the Year trophy, was a  great effort from Ben, who initially wasn’t brimming with confidence, and went through the H & A matches undefeated.

Thanks to all who participated, throughout the season and to Will Lau for his generous support with the BBQ at the wrap up today.
